The Bristol Academy of Sport - Facilities
Students studying sports programmes are based at our new WISE campus. This is a £17.5 million collaborative project between Filton College, Filton High School and is home to the College’s nationally acclaimed Bristol Academy of Sport.
Our outstanding new Sports facilities include:
- 40m x 60m indoor 3rd generation artificial football/rugby pitch
- 30m x 32m fully sprung indoor sports hall
- Aerobics studios
- 40-station gymnasium and weights room
- 12 5-a-side courts
- Sports Bar (licensed after five)
- Full-size artificial football/rugby pitch (floodlit)
- 6-Lane 400m running track and exhibition football rugby pitch (floodlit).
- Physiotherapy Room
A range of sports courses are available from Level 1 to Level 4 and opportunity exists for gifted
students to combine full-time education with specific sport training and development through
the Bristol Academy of Sport (BAOS). Those students who do not wish to be involved within the
academies have the opportunity of following suitably tailored courses.
