Facilities
Students will have access to a “base studio” working space relevant to their course of study and well equipped specialist studios for work in areas such as:
- Graphic Design
- Fashion and Textiles
- 3D Design
- Photography
- Fine Art.
We have Apple Macintosh suites, a printmaking studio and digital darkroom, relief printing and screenprinting,
a ceramics facility, a 3D workshop, a fashion studio, black and white and colour darkroom,
an audio visual studio for film and animation studies and a textile workshop all supported by qualified
technicians. Students are offered the opportunity to take part in residential visits in the UK and abroad.
We have a fashion show once a year which is the showpiece for the creative efforts of our Art and Design fashion students. Staff and students work closely together to stage the event before a packed auditorium.
The Bristol School of Art at Queen’s Road is a separate part of Filton College, situated in the centre of Bristol in the Royal West of England Academy building. It has been an Art School since 1858.
Facilities include a new Apple Mac Suite, stained glass, jewellery, enamelling, sculpture and painting studios, a large purpose-built life drawing studio, a large ceramics studio and printmaking studios.
