of properties. The demand for builders is soaring and far
exceeds the supply of skilled workers. A career in
construction is a future in one of Britain's largest
industries. The construction industry has built the
community where we all live. The range of construction
courses at the Bristol Construction Academy allows you
to gain access to Higher Education or into employment
in the UK's biggest industry.
Students studying at BCA are based at the Filton
College main campus or other endorsed centres in
South Gloucestershire and Bristol. The College has
recently invested £30million to provide learners with
first-class teaching and learning resources.
You will have access to hand skills areas, realistic practical skills training suites and our £500,000 training centre and £1million GAS COVE. Every BCA learner has access to I.T. facilities and learning support through the College resources.
If you are an apprentice, work within the construction industry or simply seek a new career in construction, we will provide you with training to the industry recognised standards of the City and Guilds Technical Certificate and ICA Awards. Alongside this qualification, you will be encouraged to obtain a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) to a minimum level two standard.
The NVQ element is Free providing students complete it within 12 months of the successful completion of the Technical Certificate/ICA Award element, or learners will incur tuition fees for the NVQ thereafter. Students must arrange their own placement.
